Are Court Records Public in Carroll County?

Social Security Numbers on Death Certificates
Under Ohio Revised Code § 3705.23(5), Social Security numbers are redacted from death certificates for the first five years after a decedent's death unless specifically requested by an eligible party. Eligible requesters include the decedent's spouse or lineal descendant, executor, attorney or legal agent, government investigative representative, private investigator, funeral director acting on behalf of the family, veteran's service officer, or an accredited member of the media.
